Copper bonded rods have a 99.9% copper layer molecularly bonded over a steel core, giving copper's conductivity and corrosion resistance with steel's strength — ideal for long-life, low-resistance earthing. GI (galvanised iron) rods are more economical and suited to general earthing where copper is not specified.

Our copper bonded earth rods carry an average 250 micron copper coating (minimum 100 micron) of 99.9% electrolytic copper, in line with UL 467 and IEC 62561-2.
